Publication Ethics

Ethical Standards

OAS Publications is committed to transparency and the highest ethical standards in scholarly publishing, adhering to the guidelines set forth by international organizations such as COPE, DOAJ, OASPA, and WAME. Our ethical principles ensure integrity, fairness, and accountability in the publication process.

Plagiarism Policy

We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to plagiarism. Authors must declare that their submitted work is original, has not been copied from previously published research, and is not under submission elsewhere—either in full or in part.

All submissions undergo plagiarism screening to detect potential misconduct. Any manuscript found to contain partial or full plagiarism will be immediately rejected. Failure to properly credit sources in cases of reused content will be classified as technical plagiarism, which may result in rejection or retraction of the manuscript.

Conflicts of Interest

To maintain the integrity of our review process, OAS Publications follows a double-blind peer review system, ensuring impartiality in the evaluation of manuscripts. Authors are responsible for disclosing any potential conflicts of interest at the time of submission to prevent ethical concerns.

Confidentiality Protection

We implement strict measures to protect the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts. Editors, reviewers, and editorial staff must uphold ethical standards by safeguarding the privacy of unpublished work. Unauthorized use, distribution, or discussion of submitted manuscripts before publication is strictly prohibited.

Human and Animal Rights

All research involving human participants or animal models must adhere to ethical standards and legal guidelines. Manuscripts involving such research must be accompanied by ethical clearance letters or approval documentation, when applicable.

Consent & Author Responsibility

Authors must obtain explicit consent from all contributors and participants before submitting their work. Signed consent statements must be provided upon submission, ensuring proper acknowledgment and ethical compliance.

Professional Conduct

All individuals engaged in the publication process—including authors, editors, reviewers, and editorial staff—are expected to uphold the principles of professional courtesy, fairness, and respect in all communications and interactions.
