Plagiarism Policy
Introduction
OAS Publications is committed to upholding the integrity of academic publishing by strictly prohibiting all forms of plagiarism. Plagiarism is the unethical act of using another person's ideas, processes, results, or words without proper acknowledgment of the original author and source.
Self-plagiarism occurs when an author extensively reuses their previously published research without appropriate citations. This includes republishing a manuscript in multiple journals or making minor modifications to an earlier work while presenting it as new research.
Types of Plagiarism
The following types of plagiarism are considered violations of our policy:
- Full Plagiarism: Submitting someone else’s published content without any modifications to the text, ideas, or grammar.
- Partial Plagiarism: Incorporating content from multiple sources with extensive rewording but lacking proper attribution.
- Self‑Plagiarism: Reusing substantial portions of one’s previously published research without citing the original work. Republishing the same manuscript in different journals constitutes complete self-plagiarism.
Policy Enforcement
OAS Publications maintains a zero-tolerance approach to plagiarism in any form. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarized content during quality checks or the initial review phase will be immediately rejected and deemed ineligible for publication. Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work and must provide proper citations for all referenced materials.
