OAS Publications is committed to the principle of open access. We believe that knowledge should be freely available to support research, education, and public engagement across the globe. This Open Access Policy outlines our commitment to ensuring that all research outputs published under OAS Publications are freely accessible to all.
Definition of Open Access
Open access refers to the free, immediate, and unrestricted online availability of research outputs without financial, legal, or technical barriers. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these works, and to use them for any lawful purpose, without requiring permission from the publisher or author, provided proper attribution is given.
Scope of the Policy
This policy applies to all publications and research outputs published by OAS Publications, including but not limited to:

Licensing
All OAS Publications will be published under a Creative Commons license, preferably CC BY 4.0 (Attribution), unless otherwise stated. This license permits users to share and adapt the material for any purpose, even commercially, as long as appropriate credit is given to the original author(s).
Author Rights
Authors retain the copyright of their work published under OAS Publications. They are free to:
- Reuse and distribute their work
- Deposit their work in institutional or subject-based repositories
- Share preprints and post prints
Repository and Archiving
OAS Publications will ensure long-term digital preservation and accessibility of content through archiving in recognized open-access repositories and indexing platforms.
Publication Fees
OAS Publications may charge article processing charges (APCs) to cover the cost of publication. Any such fees will be transparently stated on the journal or platform’s website. Fee waivers or discounts will be considered for authors from low- and middle-income countries or under special circumstances.
Compliance and Monitoring
All publications under OAS Publications must comply with this Open Access Policy. The editorial board will regularly monitor and review compliance and revise the policy as needed to align with evolving open-access standards and best practices.
