Article Processing Charges

OAS Publications is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access publisher dedicated to making scholarly research freely available to readers worldwide. As part of our commitment to open access, we do not charge submission fees or impose costs on readers. However, to sustain our publishing operations and maintain high editorial standards, we require authors to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted manuscripts.

Purpose of APC

Unlike subscription-based journals, open-access publishing shifts the financial responsibility from readers to authors. The APC helps cover the essential costs of:

  • Editorial management and peer review
  • Professional copyediting and typesetting
  • Digital archiving and indexing
  • Website hosting and maintenance
  • Ensuring permanent, unrestricted access to published articles

This model allows us to maintain rigorous quality control while ensuring that research remains freely accessible to the global academic community.

Standard APC: USD 349
Waiver Policy

To promote inclusivity and global participation in scholarly publishing, OAS Publications offers a 50% APC waiver to authors from:

  • Low-income economies
  • Lower-middle-income economies

Eligibility is determined based on the World Bank’s income classification.

Withdrawal Policy
  • Authors may withdraw their manuscript at any time before the peer review process is completed.
  • Once a manuscript is accepted for publication, withdrawal is not permitted to ensure editorial integrity and resource accountability.
Refund Policy
  • The APC is non-refundable once a manuscript has been accepted and published.
  • This policy ensures transparency and fairness in resource allocation and editorial effort.
